About Us: Childminding in Broadstone, Poole. Dorset.

My name is Louise Barden I have been working with children in Poole, Broadstone and the Dorset area for nearly 19 years qualifying and starting my career as a Nanny, I worked for many lovely families who were Doctors & Surgeons from Poole Hospital and spent 4 happy years working with children from 1-16 years.

Within this time in 1996 I registered myself as a Poole Childminder to eventually work from home, in 1998 & 2000 I had two children of my own and knowing how hard it was to find good quality childcare, I decided to continue with my childminding role. Giving parents reassurance when you most need it, giving you peace of mind when you feel insecure giving the most precious person, to someone you don’t really know. I want you to know that your child’s care and development is of the uppermost importance. My family which I love sincerely is my life & I also wish to give the same love, caring & development to all the children in my care.

Through my childminding career in Poole Dorset I attended further training & courses gaining NVQ3/4 in early years care & education, ICP, DCP & ECP gaining level 3 in childminding practice. Paediatric first aid, Higher level Safeguarding children, Behaviour Management, Risk assessments, observations & planning, EYFS training (Early years foundation stage), SENCO (special educational needs) & Health & Safety training, amp; receiving Advanced Accredited level from the DQIS (Dorset quality improvement scheme). These are just but a few qualifications & ongoing training that I have attained.

I live in Broadstone Poole Dorset with my husband Paul and our four children aged between 14-20years and our dog Marley.

We are a very active family and all enjoy our time spent together whether it’s camping or out boating with friends. Living only next door to Corfe hills school we are in good catchments, having all amenities close by.

My husband Paul has also attained Childminding status in Poole and Broadstone from Ofsted and holds Paediatric first aid, safeguarding children, has completed his level 3 in childcare & Education,Paul holds IOSH (Health & safety) and Nebosh. He is also qualified up to an NVQ assessor. My husband has run his own businesses in the Poole area and has done for over 17 years he is currently working as a Health & Safety consultant with his new business called ARISKAWARE.COM.
But he is also on hand during are busy periods, due to the high increase of numbers, of children that we can care for.

In July 2003 I received GOOD from Ofsted (Grade 2 the provision is good) and again in June 2005, at this point it gave me the drive and focus and setting my sights high and in May 2009 Ofsted awarded me OUTSTANDING in all area’s which I was over the moon. This has now given me the drive and focus to continue with offering high quality childcare, offering Nursery voucher funding for 2,3&4 year olds we are growing from strength to strength.

Being an Accredited Childminder at "Advanced level" which enables me to attend further group activities and events with the children which are rewarding to both me and the children in my care. I also play an active role in Broadstone, Poole & surrounding areas in Dorset's childminding groups and many other organisations. Our group meets on a weekly basis and we organize not only activities but outings for the children. I offer a warm and friendly home from home environment for children under 8 years of age. We Offer a variety of fun, Social, Educational and quiet times, giving the children the opportunity to develop their Social, Emotional, Physical and intellectual capabilities. We visit a wide range of toddler groups in the Poole and Broadstone area, also Children’s Centres and our local library baby bounce & rhyme time. Also we go out on outings to the Poole Park, Beach and Farmer palmers, Moors valley etc.
